I. The Library will support the curriculum of Georgetown College A. Provide convenient, effective access to books and other information resources both locally and worldwide 1. Conduct regular surveys to assess the effectiveness of the online library catalog in allowing users to find resources 2 1. Student Surveys: 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010

Library Surveys Review results to determine whether users are satisfied with the OPAC (Ex Libris Voyager), and take appropriate action based on results Patrons are generally satisfied with the current online catalog (OPAC). We will continue to monitor this feedback through regular user satisfaction surveys.

Cooperated with SAALCK in report on "Next Generation Library System" Kentucky's Next Generation Library System  Cooperate in Kentucky Academic Library Summits, focus on upgrading  the Integrated Library System (ILS)  Beginning in 2007, we invite a representative from SAALCK to all AIKCU meetings.

    2. Compare ILL materials to peer / benchmark libraries 2 Most recent NCES Academic Library Survey Data, released biennially InterLibrary Loans - Benchmark Libraries Analyze results; seek appropriate ways to encourage usage as necessary Students at Georgetown College use our free Interlibrary Loan service somewhat less than our benchmark comparison group average, but more than the Kentucky state average. The reason for this low use is access to a large research library less than 15 miles away.

We reviewed 2009 database usage and cost per search; we cancelled some databases and in Fall 2010 added several new databases that were requested by faculty 

2. In August 2010, the Reference Librarian conducted several sessions for the Graduate Education Town Meeting, with over 120 participants.

3. In Fall 2010, we implemented the application EZProxy, which allows easier access to databases for our patrons off-campus.

4. In Fall 2010, we purchased the application LibGuides to improve access to our online information resources.

              2. The Georgetown College Library is a charter member of the new consortium FoKAL, Federation of Kentucky Academic Libraries, founded in 2007. GC Library Director attends all FoKAL meetings.
              3. The Georgetown College Library is a Governing Member of LYRASIS (formerly SOLINET).  GC Asst. Library Director was KY rep to SOLINET in 2007.
